Scott Bojanowski serves as the Director of Safety for Bend-La Pine Schools, where he is dedicated to creating a secure and supportive environment for students, staff, and the community. With over 9 years of experience in school safety and emergency management, Scott has a proven track record of implementing effective safety protocols and programs that enhance the overall well-being of the school environment. Prior to his role at Bend-La Pine Schools, Scott served for twenty years in the United States Army where he developed expertise in emergency management, risk assessment, and crisis response. During his time in the Army, Scott held various roles that required quick decision-making and effective leadership in high-pressure situations. He was able to hone his abilities in strategic planning, high-tempo operations, and inter-agency collaboration during combat deployments to Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom, as well as an assignment with the Defense Coordinating Element of FEMA Region in 10 in Seattle, Washington, where he served as the Operations Director. Scott holds a Master’s of Public Administration Degree, and is a graduate of FEMA’s Basic Emergency Manager Academy. Scott is proud to leverage his military experience to make a positive impact in school safety and emergency management, ensuring that schools and their communities are prepared and resilient in the face of challenges. When not working, Scott enjoys traveling, spending time with his wife of thirty years and his two college-aged sons, and playing golf.
