John Clark is the Director of Safety and Security for the Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) in Ashburn, Virginia. Mr. Clark leads the design and implementation of all security, training, and emergency management strategies for 100 schools and 100,000 students and staff. Mr. Clark is widely recognized as a national leader in K-12 security. Prior to joining LCPS, Mr. Clark served as a senior executive special agent with the United States Secret Service and helped lead the Secret Service’s National Threat Assessment Center, a leader in K-12 threat assessment and school violence research and prevention. Mr. Clark also served in the elite presidential protective division and led the Secret Service’s protective detail and emergency management training, investigative and protective operations, and National Special Security Events. Mr. Clark holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from James Madison University and is a graduate of the Key Executive Leadership Program at American University.
