School safety and security departments are an important part of K-12 education, but many districts lack the experience and understanding of how to develop a sustainable program. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn where to start when building a creating a school safety and security department. We will address understanding laws and policy; identifying priorities; proper documentation; creating consistent district-wide practices, and ensuring processes and procedures are repeatable and defendable.
